1. Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? At the doctor's office.
2. Who was with you? The nurse who told me.
3. How did you find out? I took a home pregnancy test first and didn't understand it (aren't those things supposed to be idiot proof?)There were two lines, but one was really light. I made a doctors appointment and they told me I was pregnant.
4. What was your first reaction? Obviously I was kind of expecting it, but when they actually told me I was pretty darn shocked. I was like, Whoa. Then I couldn't wait to tell everyone.
5. What was your husband's reaction? This is HILARIOUS! I called Larry at work to tell him because I was just too excited to wait. I know you're supposed to plan something all cutsie and special, but oh well. I told him I was pregnant and there was silence on the other end for like, 5 seconds. Then he goes " Are you sure?" I was like, "Yes, I'm positive", and there's another long pause and then he says "Umm, Congratulations." I was like, "What!? Congratulations? This is your baby we're talking about!" Then he says, " Sorry, I've got someone in my office, I'll call you back." Oops! When he called back he seemed happy and his reaction was more what it should have been.
6. Who was the first person you told? Larry, of course, and then my parents.
7. Was the pregnancy planned? Yes.
8. Did you find out the sex? Yes, I HAD to know!
9. Did anyone throw a baby shower for you? Yes, my friend Regina and my sister. They did a great job!

12. How much weight did you gain? 31 pounds.
13. Did you get stretch marks? No, thank goodness!
14. Did you crave anything crazy? I craved peanut butter, apples, mexican food, chocolate, and I had to have a bowl of ice cream every night.I also craved meat. I ate prime rib once and I swore I had died and gone to heaven. The craziest thing I craved was toward the beginning when I was sick, and the only thing that sounded like I could keep it down was fruit baby food- yes, I said baby food!
15. Who or what got on your nerves the most? When I would try to put my tennis shoes on, and my belly prevented me from being able to bend down far enough to get them on. Larry would have to put them on and tie them for me and I would just bawl because I felt so huge! I also HATED feeling sick and throwing up. Also how maternity pants never fit right.
16. Where were you when you went into labor? I didn't officially go into labor. I was laying on the couch watching American Idol. When I got up I felt this weird gush, and soon realized my water had broken. We went to the hospital, where I didn't officially start labor until they gave me pitocin because it had been a few hours and my contractions hadn't really started yet.
17. Did you have any complications? Nope, It went about as smoothly as possible.
18. Did your water break? Yes.

20. Did you go early or late? I was a week and a day early.

22. Did you videotape it? Heck no!
23. Did you have any pain medication? Yes, an epidural and it was fabulous. I didn't feel a darn thing!
24. Did you have a c-section or natural? Natural, thank goodness!I went in almost expecting to need a c-section so I was pleasantly surprised!
25. What was your reaction to the birth? It went so much more smoothly than I could have imagined, and I couldn't believe that I had actually carried and given birth to that beautiful baby. I was so petrified about giving birth and it actually went wonderfully!
26. How big was the baby? 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Just a little guy!
27. Did your husband cry? No, he never cries for anything. He likes to brag that the last time he cried was elementary school (although that's not entirely true- He's admitted that he cried in the MTC- who wouldn't!)
28. When is the next one coming? At least 2 years after the first.
29. If you could would you do it all over again? Well, since I'm planning on having another one I guess that would be a yes. (How soon we forget all those horrible things that we swore we never wanted to go through again!)
