Who Needs Edward Cullen?

This post is basically going to be a mushy, gushy love letter to my wonderful husband, Larry - so if that kind of thing is not your cup of tea, you might want to skip out on this one!

Larry,
You are the most wonderful husband that anyone could ever ask for! You are such a kind, caring, and giving person and you have always inspired me to be the best that I can be. You are such an example to me of the kind of person that we should all want to be. You have always made me feel loved, protected,and cared for, and you are such a wonderful father to our sweet little boy. I have always admired you, looked up to you, and, of course, loved you- and I always will. Over our nearly eight years together our love has only grown, and our friendship has only deepened. You can always make me laugh, and you know what to say to make me happy when I cry. I appreciate all you do for our family and how hard you work to take care of us. You are my best friend and my true love. I love your sense of humor, your caring personality, and of course your unbelievable sexiness! You have it all, and I'm so glad you chose to spend eternity with me! Happy Birthday baby! I love you so much!

Bryton's Stats

Bryton had his 12 month Dr.'s appointment today. Here are his growth stats:
Weight- 18.09 lbs- 1.75 %tile (Crazy! I cannot believe he is really this small! He is little but he doesn't look 1.75 %tile little to me!)
Height- 29.5 in.- 41.95 % tile
Head circumference- 18.5 in.- 69.13 %tile

So basically he is super skinny, of average height, with a huge head! I always thought he looked pretty proportional, but apparently not! That big head just holds his very intelligent brain!

The Dr. said he is very healthy, is growing normally, and he is not at all concerned about his weight. He is just a little guy!

What Bryton is doing now!

Since Bryton is now one I figured I should update everyone on his tricks!

Words Bryton can say: Dada, Mama, Nana (as in banana, but he says this for any food or drink, not just bananas), Hi, No, Baba (bottle), What's That? (although most of the time this is shortened to just "ZThat"), Who's That? (This can be embarrassing as it is also often shortened to "ZThat", and he enjoys pointing at people and saying "ZThat?"), hat, Jesus, and There he is! (He says this when we are playing peek-a-boo. We cover his face with a blanket and say "Where's Bryton?" He pulls the blanket off and says "There he is!"or more accurately, "zew ee iz!" Amazing, I know!

Things Bryton can do: Clap and wave (and respond to the verbal commands to clap or wave, or wave when you say bye or hi), sing (his singing consists of "da da da da"), pick up a phone, hold it to his ear and say "Hi!", point the remote control at the t.v. and try to turn it, pretend to cook and eat with his play kitchen, walk (almost run), whenever I turn on the vacuum or the hairdryer he imitates the sound (Aaaaah!)(actually he now does this if he even sees the vacuum or hairdryer), vacuums with his own little vacuum, Says "No!" if he doesn't want something, Starts doing something he knows he is not supposed to do,then looks at me and says "No, no, no!" (little stinker!), plays chase and peek-a-boo, sleeps through the night (finally!), plays with cars and makes car noises, dances, and plenty of other things that I can't currently think of. He is a fun and happy boy!

Big Birthday Boy!

I can't believe my baby is officially one! Oh, how time flies! We celebrated his birthday a couple of days early since we figured no one would want to attend a kid's birthday party on Valentine's Day. We had a dinner party with family and of course let Bryton dig into the traditional first birthday cake. Bryton got an "Elmo's Restaraunt" kitchen for his birthday and he absolutely LOVED it. he played with it ALL DAY LONG! It was so funny seeing him pretend to eat the play food and cook. He is SOOO smart! I absolutely love my sweet little boy! He was the best Valentine's present anyone could ever recieve! He is my joy and my Baby Love! Happy Birthday Bryton!

The "Before" picture of the cake. If you join Smith's Baby club they'll give you a free cake for your baby's birthday- good deal! First we had Bryton in his regular outfit with a bib to eat the cake- then we decided that just a diaper would be better!
