Long Time, No See...

Well, I am officially a terrible blogger!I have not posted anything since the end of summer. Time to play catch-up! This is going to be a very random blog with a lot of pictures of a lot of different events from between August and October. Enjoy the chaos!

At the End of Summer Luau at Thanksgiving Point

The rule at the Luau was that no chairs were allowed unless they were those really short, inch-off-the-ground chairs. Somehow this woman got in with this monstrosity and proceeded to set it up right in front of us!

Dressed up as a pumpkin to match "Tricky", the Beanie Baby he got when he spent the night at Primary Children's Hospital after fracturing his skull from a fall out of a shopping cart. We call it our 2000 dollar Beanie Baby!

Ready to Go!

Bryton and The Broken Leg

Here's a great story for ya- Larry and I went away to Lake Powell for a few days with some friends. Bryton stayed with Larry's sister. The day we came back Bryton was crying and refused to walk. I took him to the hospital and found out he had a broken leg! Two weeks after he had fractured his skull no less! No one was entirely sure what happened, but the story that finally got pieced together was that his 3 year old and 6 year old cousins tried to pull him out of the crib he was sleeping in and dropped him. Nice. Here he is with his temporary splint that he wore for a week to allow for swelling before he got his hard cast. He is sitting with his cousin Laken, (one of the ones who dropped him) who came to visit later that night and greeted Bryton by saying, "I'm sorry I broke your leg." Fun times. It was so sad because until he got the hard cast all he could do was scoot around on his bum. It was not fun! He kept saying "Mommy, I want to get up!" Heartbreaking. He was such a little trooper though!

Happy and dancing around in his new hard, walking (thank goodness!)cast. He picked the green out himself (After finding out they were out of blue) and he is all smiles. He thought this cast was so cool! He had to wear this for 3 weeks and then it came off. He walked funny for a couple of months and we were pretty worried we'd have a permanent gimp on our hands, but now he is totally back to normal. What an adventure!

Hiking in Rock Canyon- I hadn't been hiking here for years. Of course, poor Bryton had his broken leg so he had to stay in the backpack!

Bryton was obsessed with all the leaves and insisted on showing the camera every one he could find!

Bike riding on the Jordan River Trail

Silly boy!

More hiking in Rose Canyon

Just being cute!

I think that's enough for one post! To be continued (very soon, I promise!)...
