Bryton's Four- Month Checkup

Bryton had his four-month checkup last Friday and these are his stats:
-He weighed 12 pounds 15 ounces- This is only in the 11th percentile!
-He is 24 inches long- 22nd percentile
-His head circumfrence is in the 29th percentile (I guess his head is maybe a little big!)
The doctor said he seems perfect and healthy and was surprised at how strong Bryton is. He was also suprised because Bryton was rolling all over the table while he was checking on him, so I guess that is advanced for a four-month old. Bryton also got 5 shots. I HATE watching Bryton get shots. He was so happy before they gave him the sticks, kicking his legs and smiling at the nurses. I went up behind his head to try to distract him, but when they poked him he let out one of those horrible cries when he is so upset that nothing actually comes out for about 5 seconds, and then he just starts screaming. It was awful. It made me so sad. Almost as soon as I picked him up he was ok again, but then he was sleepy and grouchy for the rest of the day.
These are things Bryton can do now:
- Rolls over from back to stomach and then from stomach to back.
- Can grab objects and play with them and put them in his mouth.
- coos, babbles, squeals, laughs, gurgles.
- When he cries, he says mamamamama, or nanananana. I know he's not really saying mama, but it sure sounds like it!
- Eats rice cereal.
- Does partial sit-ups where he lifts his head and upper torso, and his legs and holds it for like, 30 seconds. (I can't even do that!)
- When I hold his hands, uses me for leverage and sits himself up and then pushes up with his legs to a standing position ON HIS OWN! He has been doing this since about 2 months, and it has always amazed me. He is a very strong boy.
- Is very observant and interested in the world around him.
- Loves music and watching people dance.
- I can lay him on a blanket in one position and come back to find him halfway across the room from kicking, rolling, and scooting.
I can't wait to see what my smart little guy will do next!

He is just a little guy! Griff is a huge bruiser! I would hate the shots thing too but Griff has never had them and probably never will! I wouldn't be able to handle it anyway :)
